Hi
xdm is the login manager, is it installed? Since it's a server, I would
imagine you don't need powersave features running, so if you start YaST
runlevel editor you can disable.

So, do you want a graphical login running on the machine? Or is it
remotely accessed only?

Hi
So if you open a terminal and run;

which xdm

Is it found? Are you just getting to the console login only? If a
console login, login as your user and run the command;

startx

Does the Desktop start?
