Hey,

Would anyone happen to know a location for SLES9 _SDK_ ISOs or a repo? (If there was an SDK at all).

In fact we'd need to install some additional perl modules.

I found these URLs, but none so far for the SDK :(

https://you.novell.com/update/i386/update/SUSE-SLES/
https://you.novell.com/update/i386/update/SUSE-CORE/9/

Please don't ask why Suse 9 is still in use... ;-)

Thanks,
Marki

AFAIK there was no SDK.... Are you looking for 32 or 64 bit ISOs of SLE9 and at what SP level?

Thanks for the quick reply. In fact I have all the base media I need. If there is no SDK, that is fine for me.
I'll have to tell them that at some point they have to upgrade cause I don't know why they are wasting time on installing SSL libs on SLES9, since that won't be much better than going plaintext anyway ;-)

bye,
Marki

Oh wait, there seems like there is an SDK: https://www.suse.com/partners/isv/suse_linux_sdk_9

Hmm, unfortunately download.suse.com does not seem to contain any of this anymore. Any idea where to obtain it from?

No but I will have a look... Have you tried adding it using the yast method described under "Installation: Gain access to the SDK directly with 'YaST'"?

I've found SDK ISOs for SLES9SP2, let me know if you need them and which arch (32/64)?

I've only found SDK ISOs for SLES9 SP2
https://download.novell.com/Download?buildid=gqLgSpcvmhA~ - note these
are not suitable for any other release of SLES9.

Okay I won't ask ... but I will encourage you to migrate to a later (and
supported) SLES release! ;-)

Not bad. How did you find that? :) Do you think support may be able to point us at SDK SP3?

I can only find information about SP2 SDK so I doubt there is one for SP3, but if you can contact support then that is probably the best way to go to make sure.

I think there was an SDK for SLES9 SP3 but given SLES9 is out of support
I believe you now need to open a Service Request to get access to any
related media.

I have my sources! ;-)

Note had you asked about the SDK for SLES10 or later I would have
pointed you at
https://forums.suse.com/content.php?121-SUSE-Linux-Enterprise-SDK-downloads
which I wrote to track the download links (and to which I've now added
the one for SLES9 SP2).
