We have a VPN with a remote office. I need to mount the remote NAS on our SLES 11 SP2 server so i can rsync a backup to it. I run mount -t smbfs -o username=NAShostname\\NASusername //remoteNAS_directory/to_be/mounted /mnt/backup and get mount: unknown filesystem type 'smbfs'

Can someone tell me the correct way to mount a remote nas through the VPN?
